"Atlas of the Moon" is an accurate and detailed work for persons interested in the visual pursuit of the moon. For anyone with a small telescope or giant binoculars, the detailed moon maps, displayed in a series of 76 individual close-up drawings, provide a wealth of moon topology. The book also groups lunar features and indexes for easy reference.5/5(5).   "The Hatfield Lunar Atlas" has become an amateur lunar observer's bible since it was first published in Brand: Springer New York.

COVID Resources. Reliable information about the coronavirus (COVID) is available from the World Health Organization (current situation, international travel).Numerous and frequently-updated resource results are available from this ’s WebJunction has pulled together information and resources to assist library staff as they consider how to handle coronavirus.   It has several versions of the Rukl's Lunar Field Atlas in pdf format. Depending on what kind of scope you have, and the orientation of the image, there is a pdf that will reflect what you see in the eyepiece. This is a very good atlas. Enjoy and clear skies.

This extraordinary Atlas is based on high resolution CCD images of the terminator area of the Moon under 47 different illuminations. Each image is displayed across two or three pages, enabling readers to see features as small as kilometers. For each illumination, accompanying text describes the major features shown in each view, along with larger-scale images of selected areas, indexed. I purchased the book Astronomy Atlas of the Moon by Antonin Rukl from because it was recommended to me by a friend. While it is a 20 year old out of print book, it is the best lunar atlas that I have seen. The book is very detailed and has been very useful for my lunar observations.5/5(23).
